For the conference “In order to live the next moment: The gravel of poems” (2011)

This poster is made in an imagination stimulated by the poem book of Ryoichi Wago, “The Gravel of Poems”. It comprises the closed up photograph of the skin of a creature in the sea (ray), which is floating up and glowing white, and whose abstract nature and materiality are stressed. This poster represents an idea that these much favored beautiful poems which have been emitted during the calamity of the Tohoku Great Earthquake have an origin of an acute fear of being reduced to a simple shining materiality. This idea is expressed by the grammatical inversion of the featured things.
